Barack Obama on Monday introduced the top figures in his national security team, including Sen. Hillary Clinton, retired Marine General James Jones, and current Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. Cato scholar Christopher A. Preble has been critical of the picks. "Obama's decision to turn to a cadre of insiders who refused to speak out against the Iraq war before it began, and who have since deflected calls to end the mission in a timely fashion, suggests that we will only get more of the same," commented Preble.
In contrast to the rest of India, where it is the government that predominantly owns and manages ports, the Indian state of Gujarat has implemented various forms of port liberalization since the 1990s.
