Mission Statement:Founded in 1975, the Center for Impact Research (CIR) focused its work on issues of economic and social justice. CIR used community-based research to advocate for and achieve changes in public policy and programs. The Center worked collaboratively with diverse partners, who are all striving to eliminate the fundamental causes of poverty and injustice. CIR's work was focused in four project areas: Working Families; Children and Adolescents; Seniors; and Alternatives to Incarceration. CIR ceased operations in April 2006.
