Mission Statement: Legal Community Against Violence is a public interest law center dedicated to preventing gun violence. Founded by lawyers, LCAV is the country's only organization devoted exclusively to providing legal assistance in support of gun violence prevention.

LCAV provides legal assistance to advocates and community leaders seeking local and statewide regulatory solutions to prevent gun violence. In addition, LCAV works to educate activists, policymakers, government officials, lawyers, journalists, public health professionals and other leaders about gun laws and policies and the possibilities for innovative state and local policy reform.
