Mission Statement:MCIC (Metro Chicago Information Center) is a Chicago-based not-for-profit research, information, and consulting resource committed to increasing the quality, quantity, and accessibility of information about quality of life issues, human needs, and social conditions. MCIC does not advocate specific public policies or policy choices, it provides the data necessary to support public policy and social program development.
MCIC works from a fundamental philosophy that better information produces better decisions. The more organizations and individuals know about themselves, the people they serve, and the environments in which they work, the better they are at identifying opportunity, allocating resources, and maximizing impact.
