Mission Statement:Project HOPE, which publishes Health Affairs, was established in 1958. Its mission is to achieve sustainable advances in health care around the world through health education programs, communicating health research, and providing humanitarian assistance in areas of need. Project HOPE conducts land-based programs on five continents

Health Affairs objectives are to:

-contribute to the enrichment of discourse in health policy;
-stimulate and document serious, forward-looking research on issues related to the economic, financial, political, institutional and programmatic dimensions of health;
-serve as a forum to disseminate the views of policymakers, analysts, and thinkers on domestic and global health policy.
