War, Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP)
Posted by: robgregory on Sun, 01 Jun 08 23:28:02 +0000
An excellent, and brief, examination of one of the many ominous effects of war: Refugees and internally displaced people (IDP). The article shows why conflicts lead to people being displaced, and then discusses the terrible costs this has on the people made homeless. Also, the article ends with a discussion on why non-violent conflict resolution is essential, as a means to avoid war, and thus refugees and IDPs. Afghanistan is the example provided in the analysis.
