The Flinn Foundation has released "Action and Impact," a report that presents the organization's current grantmaking priorities and activities across its four program areas.
Through words, photos and graphics, the Flinn Scholars segment tells the story of the 28-year-old merit-based scholarship for Arizona's highest-achieving students. The section describes the change in summer seminar location from Eastern Europe to China, the maturing alumni network that is providing greater dividends, the long-term impact on the honors programs and colleges at Arizona's three public universities, and the connections the Scholars are building with the Flinn Foundation and its programs.
The report highlights the results of a lengthy, comprehensive review of the Phoenix-based philanthropy's strategies to ensure grants and programs were meeting contemporary opportunities and needs. These actions and commitments are now making an impact throughout Arizona in the biosciences, civic leadership, arts and culture, as well as the Flinn Scholars program.
