This document describes a new partnership effort, the Post-2015 Partnership Platform for Philanthropy, designed to both enable philanthropy to understand better the opportunities for engaging in global development goal processes, and help governments and the UN system understand and build on the added value of philanthropy's engagement. The project is implemented jointly by the UN Development Program (UNDP), the Foundation Center, and a Collaboration Committee guided and supported by Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA). Phase 1, covering 2½ years, began in July 2014. Much of the launch investment has already been committed from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, The MasterCard Foundation and Ford Foundation. These foundations and project partners are in discussion with a larger group of funders and partners. The Platform members are eager to engage more philanthropic institutions from around the world in planning and implementing this collaborative effort, and expanding the circle of stakeholders globally and at the country level. The project is summarized below.
